Triad Financial - I need a VALID pink slip from Triad showing I have paid off the car loan they financed in 2002 for which I had paid in full in 2006. The DMV wanted me to show that the load had been paid.
California DMV denies my request to junk the car because I do not have the pink slip showing my name on it instead of having Triad Financial Services still showing on it. I have sent three registered mails to the Huntington Beach address where I used to mail my payments and they were all returned, no forwarding address.
Please help me how to resolve my problem. I have been trying to get the DMV to clarify what exactly I need and it was only three weeks ago, after 3 in person separate customer service window visits over the span of three years that somebody from that office contacted me and informed me that the problem was that I do not have a clear title to the car! Please help me find somebody at Financial Services to get this issue clarified.
I have lived in the same address since 1974 and the car is still parked in the same space since I bought it in 2002 until now, February 2018. It has not been driven since 2014 because of major repair costs.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Hello- trying to help my parents that paid of their car in 2002. The car needs to be scrapped but they canโt because Triad STILL on lien?
Pls go to DMV website under โfinance companies out of businessโ when applying for duplicate titles. At here are steps to take, including purchasing a surety bond ($100 for cars values $1 to $6000), registered mail sent to Huntington returned to you needs to be unopened and forwarded to DMV, etc. Thier car is worth $600- canโt make this stuff up.These are just highlights for steps so please read each carefully. DMV says they will contact you in 4-6 weeks.
I am helping my parents and we are waiting for verification of surgery bond now as well as waiting for the post office to open to send a certified letter to Triad in Huntington Beach. Hoping that everyone gets resolve soon- what a shame for consumers to have to go through hoops.
